Reliance Jio, the telecom company has revolutionized internet connectivity in India by providing free internet to its customers along with the added advantage of free calls and free SMS.
Reliance Jio extended its Happy New Year till March 2017, under which users will get 1 GB of high speed data per day along with free calls and free SMS till March 2017. Now sources claim that the telecom company might extend its Happy New Year offer for 3 months from March 2017 onwards i.e. upto 30th June 2017, but with some small changes.
WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN AFTER MARCH 2017
A source from a popular media channel claimed, “Jio subscribers may continue to enjoy data services at a nominal rate, combined with free voice calls, for another three months.”
According to the sources, the extended offer will charge a nominal fee of Rs. 100 for data while voice calls will be free. But it is not clear that whether users have to pay Rs. 100 per month for data services or it is a one time fee and after that users will be able to enjoy data services upto 30th June 2017.
Earlier on December 1st, Mukesh Ambani stated that the Internet charges after the trial period will be only one-tenth of the existing market rates.
